haven't really known what to say...
one of my really good friends, my mentor, [info]sonia5 died this morning
i can't even begin to express how much she meant to me
i owe so much to her
it's all i've been able to think about all morning...all day...and it still hasn't hit me yet
i'm still completely in denial
i just keep thinking that someone's going to call saying that it was a mistake, or something...
she was a truly amazing person and she will be greatly missed


she's the second person who has meant the world to me who has died of lung cancer
i really wish all of you would stop smoking

I only met her once at LP5 once a long long time ago and it wasn't more than an introduction, but I knew she was really close to you. I'm sorry to hear this. Take care.

god...i'm so sorry too...i feel helpless just being in atlanta, i can't imagine how you feel way over there
i'm trying to see if i can fly to LA to help mel too....i know she has so much to take care of and i don't want her to feel like she has to take care of everything herself
i don't see how i'm going to be able to make it to minneapolis by tuesday for the funeral, which might be for the best...i think she would want us to remember her how she was, and not have to see her like that

She really seemed like such a great person, so wise, and gutsy and creative. When I found out how old she was I about fell over, and it made me completely change how I viewed aging. I hope she is at peace. My condolences to you, all her friends and family.

Heather, you don't know me but I heard all about you from Sonia. I worked for her as an assistant in Minneapolis and met one of her other assistants in New York and she would call us Heathers and tell us about how you were her first assistant. Although I only worked for her for about a year, she did so much for me and she was someone I will always look up to. I'm so sad.

we knew she was sick, just not the extent of it....i thought she would get better
i only recently found out about that it was cancer

gods, girl..i still do not know what to say, I am in shock..she just e-mailed me a week ago, and I have it still on my computer...

i'll be flying into hamburg on the 26th and then we go to leipzig until june 1st, i think.....after that, i'm not sure where i'll be yet, but i'm open to suggestions...i don't leave until june 9th
